A smooth, effective demonstration of material flow through an automated robotic system is the best way for customers to recognise its potential. At arculus, we bring that experience straight to the client’s door. This post shares how we make robot demos fast, simple, and impressive.
Building a great product is half the work, but the other half is making others see its value. That is why a well-planned demo goes a long way. At arculus, we design user experiences that are simple, fast, efficient, portable, and independent. That’s why we set up hands-on live demos in no time and at scale.
How arculus Does Robot Demos
A demo for a client should speak for itself. That’s why we’ve designed a plug-and-play process so anyone can test the arculee M in action within minutes. Every demo kit comes in one box, containing everything needed to simulate a real fleet operation. Georg, our Senior Product Manager highlights:
“There are no hidden dependencies, no complex integrations, and no waiting around for technical experts to make it work.”
Our goal is simple: make every demo as close to a real deployment as possible while keeping it fast, portable, and effortless. It is done in three quick steps:
Step 1: From Box to Power
Upon arrival, the process starts with unpacking the robot and setting up the demo kit. Within moments, the Wi-Fi router and laptop are powered on, and the system is ready to connect. Thanks to a modern tech stack and pre-configured software, everything runs smoothly without any dependencies other than a power plug.

Step 2: Map, Layout, and Workflow
Next comes the setup of the demo project inside Fleet Manager. Here, we record a new laser map of the environment, create the demo layout, and configure transportation workflows. In just a few clicks, the system’s tasks are defined, and you can see how the entire user journey unfolds in real time.
Step 3: Ready to Go
And that’s it. Within minutes, the demo system is fully operational. The arculee M moves, reacts, and executes tasks as it would in a customer’s production environment. Over-the-air access ensures quick software updates and remote support if needed; however, it typically operates independently.
Why Do Robot Demos Matter?
A streamlined demo setup like ours allows us to pack, travel, and demo in a single day. That flexibility pays off in many ways:
Bring the Experience Anywhere: We can easily take the whole underload transport experience to trade shows, exhibitions, and customer sites without lengthy preparation or complex setup. It saves time and ensures anyone can experience the product exactly as it is meant to be. “What makes our robot demos so powerful is that they let anyone experience the complete product journey — not just see the robot move,” explains Georg.
Test Performance Where it Matters: No two environments are alike. Local conditions, such as flooring and mixed traffic, can change how robots behave. With hands-on demos, we can map, create layouts, and configure workflows directly on-site, validating results in the customer’s actual environment.
Inside the Fleet Manager, you can define the system’s tasks in just a few clicks
Build Trust: When customers interact directly with the system, the technology feels tangible and relatable. They see how quickly they can move from planning to operation, building confidence and excitement from day one. Linus Ferlinz, Product Owner Robotics, says,
“Seeing customers impressed by how quickly their own layout is set up is always a highlight for me.”
Move Fast, Learn Faster: Because everything lives in one box with no external dependencies, setup takes only minutes. That speed means immediate, practical feedback from operators and supervisors, insights we feed straight back into product development.
Scale Smarter: The kit is pre-configured and typically runs independently, with remote support available if needed. That means more demos, less overhead, keeping experts focused where they create the most value — in projects, not setup.
De-risk Deployment: Robot demos also serve as a rehearsal for deployment. We test site-specific scenarios and validate handover steps support early, ensuring smoother, more predictable real-world implementations.
For arculus, robot demos aren’t just presentations; they’re opportunities to connect, learn, and innovate.
From Demo to Decision
We believe the best way to understand automation is to experience it firsthand. Our fleet demo kit embodies everything we stand for: simplicity, speed, and scalability. By turning complex robotics into an intuitive, portable experience, we help customers not only see the robot but also live the journey of operating it.
